ABA Center for Excellence provides behavioral services to individuals of all ages and abilities regardless of diagnostic labels. Unfortunately, funding is only available for people with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs. Our staff members address skill development and behavioral challenges through personal support in “home based” and school settings.
At ABA Center for Excellence, parents, families and other caregivers actively participate in treatment and training programs and play an essential role in treatment progress and success.
Our staff members are prepared to work with school personnel, occupational therapists, speech therapists, caseworkers and educators to create a comprehensive and consistent program to teach functional skills and to help decrease challenging behaviors for each client.

ABA accepts the following forms of payment for services:
General Revenue (GR) and In Home and Family Supports (IHFS) are both funded differently through Bexar County MRA. Contact AACOG (see below for contacts) and request information regarding both programs. There is an application process if you are not already receiving these services, it can take up to 6 months.

Unfortunately, Medicaid (in Texas) does not recognize ABA, thus it is not funded through Medicaid. However, Bexar County is one of the only counties in Texas that recognizes ABA as a separate and distinct service from others types of necessary services. See the information outlined below to get connected with a case manager in Bexar County to determine if you might qualify for ABA services, through Bexar County.
Additionally, HCS (Home and Community Based Services), TxHmL (Texas Home and Living), and CLASS (Community Living Assistance ans Support Services) have all recently added BCBAs to their approved providers for behavioral support services. If you have these funding sources available to you, we may be able to guide you through the process of requesting ABA services via behavioral supports, depending on your case management agencies' policies and procedures.
We are able to work with the following private insurance companies:
- United Behavioral Health
- and other major insurance companies...
Scholarships and Grants
We currently work with Masonic Home and School of Texas to get funding for clients that need ABA therapy but do not have the means to pay for this service. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, fill out the application and send to firstname.lastname@example.org along with two pay stubs and proof of diagnosis by a clinician or diagnostician. Beverly Smith, our Director of Human Resources, will then call you to get additional information and guide you through the application process.

ABA Center for Excellence strives to help people of all ages who exhibit behavioral challenges to participate in their community to the fullest extent possible and to reach their highest potential by learning pro-social skills. We believe that everybody has the right to learn and contribute to society in a unique way.
ABA Center for Excellence uses the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) approach to working with people who exhibit behavioral challenges. We teach a variety of different skills in the natural environment of our clients. Although we are knowledgeable and trained in a variety of ABA approaches such as Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior (VB), Natural Environment Training (NET), Discrete Trial Therapy (DTT), Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and a variety of other methodologies within ABA, we do not prescribe 1 specific therapy. We believe that every person brings a unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Thus, we should tailor our educational plan to meet the needs of our individual clients.
