My Child Doesn't Talk: FREE Parent Training: Tues April 18th 9am-12pm

My Child Doesn’t Talk: The Next Steps: A Deeper Look Into Strategies for Children with Communication Needs

In this training, we will continue to build on the skills and strategies acquired during the first training of My Child Doesn’t Talk. These research-based strategies will address the language needs of children with developmental disabilities including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and others. We will look at preplanning for communication needs and how that looks as far as low tech and high tech devices. Parents will be given techniques to use in the home and in the community to aid in their child’s communication needs and enable them to acquire a higher level of skills.

Note: You do not have had to attend the first training to attend this one!

Rtl & Section 504: Wed, Mar. 29 @9am-12pm

Parenting is one of those jobs that doesn’t come with an instruction manual, but we are here to help educate you!  In order for parents to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to work together as partners with our educators, parents must have the information to empower them.  This training will provide parents and community members with information about what promotes student success through the RtI and Section 504 process.  Please join us to learn how both of these services can help qualifying students receive support to help them reach success in their areas of need.
